Las cuatro variedades de uva se vinifican por separado en cubas combinadas de acero y madera Horizon a temperatura controlada, con maceración previa a la fermentación en frío (14ºC) durante 2 días. A continuación, se produce la maceración a 22ºC hasta los últimos dos días de fermentación alcohólica, cuando la temperatura se eleva hasta los 27ºC. Tras la fermentación alcohólica, los vinos se trasvasan, por separado, a barricas, donde se desarrolla la fermentación maloláctica y donde se afinan durante unos 6 meses. Al finalizar este periodo es cuando se produce la mezcla, que envejece durante 6 meses en barricas y se afina durante otros 6 meses en botella.
Por primera vez se unen las cuatro cepas de tintos seleccionadas en los 25 años de historia de Banfi como las mejores para nuestros viñedos de Montalcino. Un súper-toscano atractivo, adecuado tanto para maridajes complejos como para combinaciones más libres.

The color is deep red; the aroma is rich, with notes of blackberry jam, plum and hints of tobacco and coffee. The structure is powerful but soft. Well-balanced and persistent, with light touches of vanilla and licorice. Suitable for a medium-long aging.
We had a fermentation in temperature controlled hybrid stailess steel and oak tanks, at 24/26°C for 8 days and 30°C for the last 2 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrique. 14 months of maturation in 350L french oak barrique follows. Bottle aging for 14 months.
Most profound red color. To the nose is very complex, full, and smooth, with notes of jam, pepper and tobacco. In the mouth, it is extremely powerful, highly concentrated, with supple tannins. Excellent suitability for medium to long aging.
