A LIMITED EDITION FOR LA PETTEGOLA 2017
On January 29th at Castello Banfi was held the presentation of the Limited Edition of La Pettegola 2017, in a reinterpretation of the illustrator Alessandro Baronciani

(Montalcino, 30 January 2017) - On January29th, the limited edition of La Pettegola was presented in the evocative setting of the Museum of Glass and Bottle of Castello Banfi. To celebrate the five years from the first harvest and on the occasion of the forty anniversary of the winery, the Vermentino of Banfi is offered in a Limited Edition (only twenty thousand bottles), in a version completely reinterpreted by the illustrator Alessandro Baronciani.

The artist, born in 1974 and originally from Pesaro, works between Pesaro and Milan. He is an illustrator, art director for advertising and graphic agencies, and he draws comics. He works for several magazines and he has a comic strip about the history of music on Rumore Magazine. He published two comic novels with Black Velvet: When everything turned blue and A comic story, a book that collects a five-year editorial experiment, during which Alessandro wrote, designed, photocopied and sent his stories by mail to readers subscribers who became, through their letters, the characters of the story.

The illustration completely wraps the bottle of La Pettegola, leaving the original label intact.

So, Baronciani tells the project: "The leaves weaves together to create a green impenetrable blanket: it is time to uncork a bottle of La Pettegola, before the shadows lengthen in the evening twilight. At the sound of the cork slipping from the neck of the bottle, the branches of the hedge have a jolt. A girl's white face appears in the leaves. Her mischievous look searches for something, for someone. Nobody knows. Towards the wine in the glass and the notes of white fruit are the promise of its fresh and full taste. At every sip the girl acquires more and more charm and charisma. The glass is empty and, as it appeared, La Pettegola vanishes, leaving only the lingering memory of an emotion difficult to forget "
