Starting on Sunday 15th of April, at 3:00 pm, Fondazione Banfi presents “The new Sanguis Jovis – Alta Scuola del Sangiovese projects”. Prof. Attilio Scienza, Prof. Alberto Mattiacci, respectively the Scientific President and the Scientific Director and Dr. Rodolfo Maralli, Fondazione Banfi President, will present an updating of the project born a year ago and they will introduce the program of the Summer School Second Edition that will have as a theme “What will be the Sangiovese of the future?” (September 10th-14th 2018, OCRA, Scuola Permanente dell’Abitare – Via Boldrini, 4 Montalcino).
Following Dott.ssa Gabriella De Lorenzis and Dott.ssa Leila Caramaico will present the results of the first Research Grant, funded by the Fondazione Banfi, always inside the Sanguis Jovis project: “The improvement of production and quality of grape and wine, through the development of the natural resources.”
Continuing on Monday 16th of April, at 11.00 am, with “Banfi: 1978-2018, 40 years of successes, history and knowledge”. Cristina Mariani- May and Enrico Viglierchio, respectively CEO and General Manager of Banfi, with several facts and stories they will make us live the most important stages of Banfi history, from the first rooted planted to today. At the end it will be possible to taste, on preview, the celebrating wine, produced in a limited edition: Quaranta. An emotional journey with a wine that recounts the most representative harvest of Banfi history, in a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
On Monday 16th too, at 3.00 pm, will be the second turn of the Fondazione Banfi with the results of the other Research Grant, with Prof. Fabio Babiloni, from La Sapienza University: “The neuromarketing researches and the storytelling of the Sangiovese”. An analysis of the human mind reactions to neurological stimuli perceived during a Sangiovese wine tasting. Following Prof.ssa Costanza nosi, from LUMSA University of Rome, showing the results of hegrape and wine r research: “The on and off line communication of Sangiovese, in different declinations of vine, in the foreign markets”.
On Tuesday 17th, at 11:00 am, a very emotional moment with “The three wines of Rudy Buratti’s heart”. A memory to Rudy Buratti through his wines, introduced by the three people that compose the young team that he leaded until his passing, last January. A memory from the heart and with heart.
In the middle of the official events, several moments more or less playful, as the meeting with Alesssandro Baronciani, the illustrator that designed the La Pettegola Limited Edition label (Tuesday 17th, at 12:30 – 1:00 pm, by reservation only) or the three Jazz&Wine aperitif moments, every days at 4:30 pm, where the new Banfi wines will be introduced: Cost’è, the new rosé, Bepop, the Asti Secco and the two Limited Editions of Tener.
