Castello Banfi, Tuscany’s premier vineyard estate, is joining forces with Divino Tuscany to host a once-in-a-lifetime Tuscan experience.
Divino Tuscany is a celebration of Tuscan winemaking excellence. This inaugural event, to be held in Florence, Italy, June 2 – 5, 2011, will bring together top winemakers from Tuscany who will promote, share and demystify their top rated wines.
"Over the course of four incredible days, attendees will experience grand tastings, seminars, special dinners and entertainment - everything about Divino Tuscany has been designed with the highest level of excellence in mind, from the selection of wines to the locations." James Suckling, former Senior Editor and European Bureau Chief of Wine Spectator.
The Divino Tuscany event can be seamlessly extended to include a custom-crafted two-night stay at Castello Banfi – Il Borgo, the luxury boutique hotel nestled alongside the medieval castle crowning the Castello Banfi estate. Here Divino Tuscany guests will be treated to a traditional Tuscan five-course wine-pairing dinner at Castello Banfi – La Taverna, along with a guided winery tour and barrel tasting. Guests can also look forward to an exclusive tour of the property, showcasing the vineyards where each of the signature wines are grown. Touring the Castello Banfi estate’s constellation of single vineyards, guests will learn how each vineyard was selected for the wine it produces, based on over three decades of detailed research to select the best clones of each grape variety and match them to unique soils and sites on the estate offering optimal conditions for those vines.
Guests will also be treated to all the amenities that Castello Banfi has to offer. These include the Giovanni F. Mariani Museum of Glass, a balsameria and an enoteca-cum-wine bar offering Castello Banfi estate wines, along with an estate-grown extra virgin olive oil, a prized Salsa Balsamica Etrusca, honey, prunes and preserves made from the estate's plum groves.
“We are pleased to host wine connoisseurs from around the world, who reserve a special place in their heart for Tuscany. Castello Banfi is an ideal place to cap off an extraordinary Tuscan experience.” Cristina Mariani-May, family proprietor, Castello Banfi.
