Rosa Regale

Brachetto D'Acqui DOCG

Vinos espumosos y de postre

Rosa Regale

Uvas empleadas

Brachetto d’Acqui 100%.

The winemaker comment

Maceration of the grapes, after pressing and de-stemming, for 4/5 days at 5-6°C. Under a protective blanket of CO2, the must is pumped over eight times daily to enhance the transfer of color and aromatic elements from the skins. The wine is subsequently drawn off and filtered, then stored at 0°C before warming to 16°C and being inoculated with selected yeasts to induce fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Lowering the temperature to 0°C naturally arrests fermentation; the wine is immediately filtered and bottled to preserve its freshness.

  • The water reserves, accumulated during a mild winter, determined an early vegetative growth, characterized by a spring that helped the phenologic phases. A quite warm summer has been mitigated by rainfalls by the second half of August, which helped a great maturation of the grapes, 10 days earlier than the previous year. Thus we had scented white wines, with the right balance of acidity, alcoholic content, quality and freshness, and harmonic red wines, with a solid structure, with complex perfumes and long aging potential.

  • The growing cycle began slightly in advance. We had a very rainy spring and cool temperatures, and well below the seasonal average, in the summer months. This meant that the maturation of the grapes took place with a delay of about 10 days compared to the previous years. The harvest of early varieties was facilitated by a rather cool beginning of September, while late varieties enjoyed a rise in temperatures in the last decade of the month, which allowed for a full ripening of the grapes.
TASTING

On the edge of the glass it forms a ring of bubbles , the perlage is fine and persistent . The color is a pale ruby red; the scent is aromatic and intense with hints of strawberry , Bulgarian rose and red fruits . The palate is sweet and well balanced by acidity , with a hint of berrie.

  • The growing cycle began in the usual time frame, with dry weather in April and May. June was marked by cooler temperatures and a lack of rainfall. Summer saw a return to regular average temperatures in July through mid-August, when a sudden heat wave raised temperatures over 40°C (104°F) through the end of the month. A sun-drenched September, with normal average temperatures, allowed for a good harvest.
TASTING

Fine and persistent perlage that forms a beautiful ring of bubbles on the border of the glass. Light ruby red color. Very intense bouquet that recalls wild berries, bulgarian rose and strawberries. On the palate the wine is sweet and aromatic, with a perfect acidity that gives balance . Hints of wild berries in the aftertaste.

  • A winter of heavy snowfall was followed by a spring with normal rainfall. Initial phases of the vegetative cycle proceeded along regular patterns until the second ten days of May, when the high temperatures accelerated growth and resulted in flowering and fruit set. Rainfall in June provided good hydric reserve in the soil, allowing for optimal ripening of the grapes about ten days in advance. Overall this has been a good harvest with peaks of excellence.
TASTING

A brilliant ruby red sparkling wine distinguished by a persistent perlage. The aromas are very concentrated, fragrant and evocative of wild berries, strawberries and Bulgarian rose. On the palate it shows a good acidity with soft and aromatic notes, which are persistent and long on the finish.

  • Heavy winter snows followed by copious rainfall throughout the warm spring combined to delay the start of the vine’s growth cycle. A return to average summer temperatures helped the grapes to recover and achieve normal ripeness. Dry weather and a good difference between day and night temperatures at the end of August/beginning of September yielded an excellent harvest.
TASTING

A persistent perlage characterizes this bright ruby red sparkling wine. The bouquet is very intense, aromatic and reminiscent of wild berries, strawberries and Bulgarian rose. On the palate Rosa Regale shows well balanced acidity with sweet and aromatic notes, which are persistent and long on the finish.

  • Winter was characterized by unusually heavy snowfall, but was followed by a normal, rainy spring. Warm temperatures in the second half of May promoted a precocious start to the growing cycle, with flowering and setting approximately ten days earlier than usual. Rainfall in June and August created optimal conditions for ripening of the grapes, yielding wines of great quality.
TASTING

Fine, elegant and persistent froth and perlage in the glass. Light ruby red color. The  bouquet is intense and complex, with fruity aromas of small berries, strawberries and Bulgarian rose. A lively acidity makes the wine gentle, aromatic and well balanced. Persistent on the palate, with clean flavor of berries on the finish
