  • 季節性成果 The mild winter sped up the beginning of the growing season by about 10 days, but this was then slowed down by the abundant spring rains, bringing back to the normality. By the second week of June, and throughout the month of July, there was a gradual and beneficial rise in temperatures. It followed an August with a significant temperature ranges and lack of rain, the best condition for the perfect ripening of the grapes. The harvest began with a slight delay compared with the most recent years, mainly due to the rainy spring, which offset the initial vegetative anticipation. The month of September was very sunny and marked by the absence of rain, which arrived at the end of the month, slowing the harvest of red grapes.
品鉴

The color is pale straw yellow. The aromas are intense and fresh. There are fruity hints of citrus fruits, pineapple and tomato leaf. The structure is well-balanced and soft, thanks to a great acidity. The aromas are still persistent in the final.

  • 季節性成果 The sufficient spring rainfall avoided any water stress during the hot summer months. The quite hot temperatures in July and August, together with a quite wide-range difference in temperature between night and day, favored the grapes maturation. This way, the white grapes could develop an excellent aromatic profile, while the reds could achieve a very good synthesis of polyphenols. September was sunny and dry, with warm temperatures that let complete the ripening of the grapes and yielded for most favorable conditions during the harvest.

The color ispale straw yellow. The aromas are intense and fresh. There are fruity hints of lime, pear, peach and citrus together with the floral scents. The structure is lively, thanks to a great acidity. This San Angelo fresh and balanced wine, whose aromas in the mouth confirm the smelling notes and are persistent in the final.

  • 季節性成果 The growing cycle began slightly in advance. We had a very rainy spring and cool temperatures, and well below the seasonal average, in the summer months. This meant that the maturation of the grapes took place with a delay of about 10 days compared to the previous years. The harvest of early varieties was facilitated by a rather cool beginning of September, while late varieties enjoyed a rise in temperatures in the last decade of the month, which allowed for a full ripening of the grapes.
品鉴

Pale straw yellow color. The aromas are intense and fresh, very much floral, but also fruity with scents of lime, pear, peach and citrus. In the mouth is lively and persistent, thanks to a good but not aggressive acidity. The wine is balanced and fresh.

  • 季節性成果 The growing cycle began with a significant delay, with some rains during the Spring. June was marked by cooler temperatures, under the seasonal average. August and September were hot and dry, but the ripening, despite two weeks delay, have been supported by water reserves of the previous months. Summer nights were characterized by cooler temperatures, contributing to the improvement of the quality of the grapes. From the end of September, rainfall was abundant, causing problems during the repining, without affecting the vineyards.

Straw yellow color, very fruity, with hints of William pear, banana, peach and tropical fruits. On the palate, it has an unusual structure for a Pinot Grigio, well-balanced thanks to a lively acidity and a great flavor. Very long and fresh finish.

  • 季節性成果 The growing cycle began in the usual time frame, with dry weather in April and May. June was marked by cooler temperatures and a lack of rainfall. Summer saw a return to regular average temperatures in July through mid-August, when a sudden heat wave raised temperatures over 40°C (104°F) through the end of the month. A sun-drenched September, with normal average temperatures, allowed for a good harvest.

  • 季節性成果 The vine’s growth cycle started at the right time with particularly mild and dry weather in April and May. Sunny days in June were then followed by copious rainfall in mid-July, accompanied by a significant drop in temperature. August was fairly cool, but the region was then covered by an anti-cyclone weather pattern originating from Africa, which led to a spike in temperatures, reaching well above the average for the period and lasting for around two weeks, putting the vines under hydric stress and accelerating the ripening. September and October were sunny and dry with very hot temperatures.

Pale yellow color, with fruity and extremely intense perfumes hinting of pear as well as citrus and white flowers. The structure is large and silky, well supported by an excellent acidity. Superb, and long on the finish.

  • 季節性成果 The growing season started slightly late, followed by abundant rain in May and June. Temperatures in June were cool and well below seasonal averages; n the beginning of July the temperatures began to warm up and became quite hot by mid-month. Temperatures cooled down again in August again with notably cool nights, which significantly contributed to the quality of the fruit, both in terms of aromas and natural acids. From the middle of August through the months of September and October rainfall was scarce, resulting in an excellent harvest.

Straw yellow color.  Fresh and intensely fruity on the nose, with hints of pear and citrus fruit, but also of white flowers. On the palate the wine presents vibrant acidity and lively structure with an extremely long finish.  Great and persistent fruit flavors.

  • 季節性成果 The spring start to the growing cycle was marked by abundant rainfall, which helped provide high levels of water reserves. The rainy phase went on till mid July, with temperatures particularly cool and well below the seasonal norm. After mid July, the weather stayed warm and dry; in this phase, the vines could take advantage of the water reserves accumulated during the spring. Night temperatures, relatively cool, allowed for the development of aromatics and polyphenols, enhancing the overall quality of the grapes. The harvest went smoothly thanks to dry, warm and sunny days in September and October.

  • 季節性成果 The winter, with levels of precipitation above the seasonal average and quite mild temperatures, was followed by a very normal spring, in terms of both rainfalls and temperature. The months of May and June were marked by some rain, with pretty cool temperatures through mid July. The hail storm which took place in mid-August 15th struck only part of our vineyards, sparing our best quality grapes and resulting in only a slight decrease in production. Overall, each of the various growing phases of the vineyard took place slightly later than in previous years, including a two-week postponement of harvest to allow for optimal conditions.

Heavy rainfalls at the end of May and beginning of June enabled the filling of the water reserves in the soil and therefore avoided any negative consequences by the heat wave in mid-June. The harvest started about one week ahead of time and lasted even until mid October without any difficulties thanks to ideal weather conditions in the fall.

  • 季節性成果 The seasonal conditions were marked by a severe spring frost and by one of the most severe heat waves in European history that greatly anticipated the start of the annual harvest. Fortunately, the heavy rainfall of the previous winter allowed for abundant water reserves in the soil, thus avoiding the risk of hydric stress for the plants. The spring frost, combined with the hot summer, allowed for a rich and concentrated fruit, even if greatly reduced in quantity. Most importantly, normal patterns of significant variations between daytime and night temperatures returned, adding finesse and complexity to this very good vintage. The exceptionally healthy berries of this vintage allow for an optimal quality harvesting.

Fortunately, the early harvest of the Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay was completed as the rains began to fall, minimizing any negative impact. The record-breaking heatwave that followed sped up the concentration of natural sugars and thus the overall maturity of the grape. Pinot Grigio for San Angelo was one of the first varieties to be harvested in this most challenging vintage.

Vibrant pale yellow color with greenish reflections.  The bouquet is pleasantly characterized by notes of exotic fruit flavors, ripe bananas and honey.  On the palate, the wine is more structured and creamy than previous vintages.  It shows excellent balance between the various   components with a finish that delicately hints of rhubarb.  Enchanting persistence to the finish.
