生产技术简介

酿酒葡萄收获之后,将在不锈钢罐和Horizon木桶中储藏12至13天,完成恒温(27-29℃)浸渍和酒精发酵。 完成2年的成熟储藏之后,装在350升法式橡木桶的90%的原液以及装在90和60公石木桶的其余10%的原液,还需要在上市销售之前在酒瓶中另行精酿12个月。

  • 季節性成果 The growing cycle began in the usual time frame, with dry weather in April and May. June was marked by cooler temperatures and a lack of rainfall. Summer saw a return to regular average temperatures in July through mid-August, when a sudden heat wave raised temperatures over 40°C (104°F) through the end of the month. A sun-drenched September, with normal average temperatures, allowed for a good harvest.
品鉴

very deep color. To the nose is very pleasant, almost sweet, and complex with notes of blackberry jam, tobacco and vanilla. The structure is of outstanding value, it is smooth, wide and marked by a great balance. The finish is persistent. Wine suitable for a long aging.

  • 季節性成果 wine’s growth cycle started at the right time with a climate particularly mild and dry in the months of April and May. The sunny days of June were then followed by copious rainfall in the middle of July, resulting also in significant drop in temperatures. The climate conditions in early August were pretty cool, but the region was then covered by an anti-cyclone weather pattern originating from Africa, which led to a spike in temperatures, reaching well above the average for the period and lasting for around two weeks. Therefore hydric stress accelerated the ripening. September and October were sunny and dry with very hot temperatures.
品鉴

The color is very deep with intense red garnet shades. The scent is sweet and complex, with pleasant notes of mature red fruit and spicier hints of vanilla, pipe tobacco and bitter chocolate. Structure is strong, wide and soft at the same time. The finish is persistent, with a great aging potential.

  • 季節性成果 The growing season started slightly late, followed by abundant rain in May and June. Temperatures in June were cool and well below seasonal averages; n the beginning of July the temperatures began to warm up and became quite hot by mid-month. Temperatures cooled down again in August again with notably cool nights, which significantly contributed to the quality of the fruit, both in terms of aromas and natural acids. From the middle of August through the months of September and October rainfall was scarce, resulting in an excellent harvest.
品鉴

The color is a beautiful deep red. The complexity of the aromas reveals notes of blackberry jam, tobacco and vanilla. In the mouth we immediately feel the great, soft and well balanced structure. The final is soft and persistent; this wine is certainly endowed with enormous potential of aging.

  • 季節性成果 The spring start to the growing cycle was marked by abundant rainfall, which helped provide high levels of water reserves. The rainy phase went on till mid July, with temperatures particularly cool and well below the seasonal norm. After mid July, the weather stayed warm and dry; in this phase, the vines could take advantage of the water reserves accumulated during the spring. Relatively cool nighttime temperatures allowed for the gradual development of aromatics and polyphenols, enhancing the overall quality of the grapes. The harvest went smoothly thanks to dry, warm and sunny days in September and October.
品鉴

The red color is very intense. The bouquet is sweet and complex, with notes of blackberry jam, tobacco and vanilla. The structure is incredibly extensive but soft and well balanced. Great persistence in the finish. This wine suits for a long aging.

  • 季節性成果 The winter, with rainfall well above the seasonal average and quite mild temperatures, was followed by normal spring conditions. Some rainfall marked the months of May and June, along with relatively cool temperatures through mid-July. The hail storm which took place on Ferragosto (August 15th) only partially effected our vineyards, sparing the choicest fruit and impacting production with only a small decrease in quantity. Compared to recent years, all phases of the growing season were delayed, including the harvest which took place two weeks late but under optimal conditions.

The color is a beautiful deep red, with garnet tones. The bouquet offers intense aromas of blackberry, plum, coffee, tobacco and a light note of butterscotch. On the palate, the wine is rich, powerful, muscular, yet soft and velvety, thanks to pleasingly harmonious tannins. Extremely persistent, and suitable for long aging.

  • 季節性成果 Thanks to a mild winter, the growing season started early, with anticipated flowering. Heavy rainfall in late May and early June provided sufficient water reserves in the soil to endure the mid-June heat wave. The harvest started about one week ahead of time yet still lasted into mid October without any difficulties, thanks to ideal fall weather.

The color is an intense red, with garnet hues. On the nose there are complex aromas, with hints of plum jam, vanilla, tobacco and coffee, and with a light spicy note. On the palate it is full, soft and persistent with ripe supple tannins and great structure. Its long finish and gentle aftertaste reveals great potential for aging.

Very deep red color with ruby nuances. Intricate aromas, with notes of plum jam, vanilla, tobacco and coffee, as well as hints of leather. Round and very long on the palate, it shows a big structure, with exceptionally supple tannins. Its long finish and gentle aftertaste demonstrates great potential for aging.

Moderate temperatures over the summer months with a particularly cool August that allowed for a gradual ripening and spared the vines any hydric stress. A warm and sunny September allowed for good harvest conditions.

Very intense color with garnet nuances. Complex aromas on the nose with hints of plum jam, vanilla, tobacco and coffee. Full-bodied, round and long on the palate, with extremely soft tannins. Very persistent in the final, with a sweet aftertaste. Great aging potentials.

  • 季節性成果 The seasonal conditions were marked by an intense spring frost and by one of the most severe heat waves in European history. Fortunately, the heavy rainfall of the previous winter allowed for abundant water reserves in the soil, thus avoiding the risk of hydric stress for the plants. The spring frost, combined with the hot summer, allowed for a rich and concentrated fruit, and a significant temperature variation between daytime and night added finesse and complexity. The exceptionally healthy berries of this vintage allowed an optimal quality in the harvest.

Subsequently, sufficient rainfall at the end of June allowed for an optimal balance of water reserves in the soil. The temperature climbed gradually from mid July but without reaching any excessively high peak. Some rainfall in September permitted to Sangiovese to reach a good technological and physiological maturation.

Intense and deep ruby red color. The aroma that is soft and complex reminds of blackberry jam with notes of  tobacco and chocolate.  The wine is full bodied and well structured with excellent balance. A great wine that should only improve with age

  • 季節性成果 A rainy winter was followed by a cool spring, which allowed for an optimal development of the vegetation until mid August, but then the torrid temperature (over 37°C during the day and 20°C during the night) put the plants under a severe hydro stress that stopped the synthesis process and accelerated dramatically the maturation of sugars. It was one of the most challenging vintages in our estate’s history.

Very deep color. Complex and soft flavors; aromas of blackberries, chocolate and tobacco.  Big structure, soft and well balanced. Long finish. For sure this is a wine for long ageing.

  • 季節性成果 A textbook example of a great vintage. The entire season presented optimal conditions for the vine, offering outstanding results for both early and later maturing varieties. Winter rainfall supplied sufficient water reserves that were useful to the plant over a summer that was hot but not torrid. Over a cool spring the vines developed balance that they maintained into the autumn. Light mid-summer rainfall helped stabilize the plant’s metabolism and develop ideal tannins and phenols, resulting in deeply colored wines. A proper variation between day and night temperatures allowed the grapes to develop intense varietal aromas and remain in perfect condition for harvest.

Deep and intense red mauve color; complex with fresh and sweet flavors; rich aromas of plums, cherries, and blackberry jam, all combined with scents of chocolate, tobacco, coffee and licorice. On the palate these aromas are heightened and lengthened, with a good acidity that will help a long aging.  After the deglutition the sweetness grows lengthening the persistence.

  • 季節性成果 This vintage was characterized by a particularly dry summer season. Elevated temperatures in late July and early August had a significant impact on the quality of the grapes, resulting in a contained vegetative development and, most significantly, a smaller berry size than in previous years. The greater proportion of skins and seed to pulp dictated the terms of vinification, as this situation offers the risk of increased tannins. To soften the tannins, it was necessary to reduce the maceration time and remove the seeds from the vinaccia as much as possible.
品鉴

Intense mauve red color; to well understand this wine it is necessary to oxygen it for a while: it changes from the truffle and mineral flavors to the notes of jam, licorice and tobacco. On the palate a big structure with powerful tannins very good promise for a long aging.  Sweet, long and elegant ending.

Light rains during veraison, when the grapes turn from green to purple, allowed for good maturation and gave the vines sustenance to last through the dry month that followed. These conditions combined in a concentration of flavors and the outstanding quality of a five-star vintage.

Deep and intense red color; complex but immediately captivating, with fresh and sweet flavors: plums, cherries, blackberry jam, raspberries, all combined with scents of chocolate, cigar box, vanilla and licorice.  On the palate these aromas are heightened and lengthened, with incredible rersistence.  The sensation of sweetness is accentuated, and the body is muscular and in tone, ready to impress for its power and softness.  Sweet and soft tannins.  A great Brunello that inspires superlatives.
